Paul Evans - Managing Partner

United Advisers Director, Paul Evans,  has kindly agreed to be the first participant in our UAG spotlight series. One of the key benefits of working with an independent financial adviser is that you get quality, personal service. We know that your relationship with your adviser is incredibly important and we wanted to help you to get to know the team better.

Paul shares his top tips as well as his secrets below…

What made you join UAG?

Back in 2008, when I joined UAG (as Fund Advisers Europe), I was at the right point in my life, after being a Partner and Financial Adviser in the UK for 13 years and Luxembourg for 3 years, to join a small, ambitious, ethical business. I was confident that I could make a big, positive contribution to its future.

What is something clients are surprised to learn about UAG?

That we exist! Meaning that they don’t have to rely upon their bank or local insurance agent for quality advice and they get it from normal everyday people, just like them, who can show empathy and understanding with the stresses and strains of modern life

Do you have a top financial tip?

Have a written plan (it’s more likely to be kept to if documented) but make sure you review it frequently enough for it to evolve as your life changes and to check it is on track to get you where you want and when you want

Can you share your best UAG moment?

A few years ago when we passed through the €50M assets under management barrier, it felt that we were achieving our earlier goal of providing consistent, professional help to many expats around the world

Describe yourself in 3 words…

Determined, adaptable, strong

Now tell us a secret…

I learned to play the harmonica, whilst travelling around the world playing rugby when I was much younger

If you’d like to learn more about Paul’s harmonica skills or ask him a question about your financial plan then you can get in touch with him here.
