We have finally said goodbye to 2017, because, if we are honest, it wasn’t a great one globally!

Now is the time to look forward and get excited about the year to come. One of the best ways to do this is to add to the bucket list! To get your list going here are our favourites:

1. Swim in the Cage of Death

In Darwin Australia, you can swim in the Cage of Death. In 2018 get ready to experience the thrill of swimming with a 5m Saltwater crocodile.  Here is what you can expect:

2.  Visit the Titanic

OceanGate Expeditions are launching their first Titanic Survey Expedition in 2018. Whilst the majority of their trips are to collect images, video and sonar data, it has been reported that they will be allowing paid visitors also. However, the trip won’t be cheap, estimated costs per person are $105,129 pp.

3. Enjoy one of the coolest hot tubs

This spring Squaw Valley’s pool and hot tub opens. You can enjoy drinks at 8,200 feet after taking the scenic aerial tram ride. While soaking in the hot tub you can enjoy the Sierra Nevada with views of Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley’s granite peaks.

4. Ride in the world’s longest cable car

Heaven’s Gate Mountain, or Tainmen Mountain, is incredibly beautiful and has cable cars that run over 7km. Holding a 5-star rating on Tripadvisor, this is one of the top activities in Zhangjiajie.

5. Eat at the world’s oldest restaurant

According to the Guinness Book of Records, Sobrino de Botìn is the longest running restaurant in the world, it has been open since 1725. Their claim to fame is that they are still using the same oven! Watch the video below for more information.

6. Soak in a pool at the top of Victoria Falls

Devil’s Pool is at the top of Victoria Falls and is not for the faint-hearted. There is a rocky walk and a swim before having to take a final courageous leap into the pool. Then the current will take you to the edge of the pool where only a few meters away is the 100m drop.

There are many more things to do in 2018, but these are the standout ones for the team here.

Happy 2018!
